Do you always lock your door?  Do you leave your keys in your car?  How about leave a window open when you're not home?  Your answers probably go a long way in describing how safe you feel living in Montana.  When I saw an article about the safest states in America my mind jumped to crime.  But the results of the study are on all-around safety.  Yes, crime was included, but also fatal accidents, occupational injuries and more.

WalletHub just conducted a study that ranked the safest states to live and I was actually a bit surprised that Montana finished as low as it did.  We finished 42nd out of 50 based on things like assaults, fatalities, law enforcement, bullying, occupational injuries, and more.

I won't list all the criteria but you can check out the list as well as where each state ranks HERE!
