The 16th annual Never Forget remembrances are coming up this Monday, September 11.

Organized by the United Veteran's Council of Missoula and Ravalli Counties, ceremonies are scheduled at Rose Memorial Garden on Brooks Street, at the Vietnam Memorial.

Services begin at 7:00 p.m., but you are encouraged to come early, as over 4,000 tiny American flags will be planted starting at 6:00 p.m., to honor all those who lost their lives to terrorist attacks 16 years ago.

Honor and color guards participating include those from American Legion Post 27, VFW Post 209, University of Montana ROTC and Missoula Civil Air Patrol. Taps will be played by Navy veteran Tim Gress. Bagpipes played by members of the Celtic Dragon Pipe Band.

Missoula is known for its outstanding commitment to honoring the victims of September 11. We hope you "Never Forget" and will make time to attend the ceremony. If you have any questions, Susan Campbell Reneau is once again coordinating this event locally. You can reach Susan at 719-661-4037, or at bluemountain@montana.com.
