It's been a few years since I visited this lake but it was just a beautiful as I remember. This is one of many reasons I love living in this state.

There are actually some fires in this area too but not as bad as here by no means or other areas, it was smokey a few days ago but Friday was a relief to be able to get a break from the Missoula area and go about 3 hours North and enjoy a different scene.

Limited camping but a lot of houses on this lake and lodges as well. According to the Fores Service's website these are the best directions from Kalispell

Directions: Located 12 miles from Kalispell. Take Highway 2 west out of Kalispell. Turn at Batavia School onto Ashley Lake Road #912. Take the southshore road turn at the camping sign.
