Missoula Business Is Giving Away Free Backpacks & School Supplies
Ten-year-old me would kick my butt if he knew I was writing about going back to school in the middle of summer. At least this story benefits people attempting to save a penny ahead of the school year.
Verizon-Cellular distributed a press release informing us the Missoula store will be handing out "free backpacks and school supplies on Saturday, July 27 from 10 am to noon." The effort is a part of Verizon's campaign called the Verizon-Ceullular Plus Backpack to School program.
The very best part is that everything is, positively, no doubt about it, 100 percent free. The backpacks, pencils, colored pencils, pens and rulers are all free with no purchase necessary to qualify.
"We are delighted to support our local community by providing students with new backpacks and essential school supplies," Verizon President Adam Kimmet said via press release. "We hope this event eases some financial challenges for families. It's incredibly rewarding to see children leave the store sporting a new backpack, and ready to start the school year with confidence."

Wait, does this promotion also qualify for a radio guy in his upper 20s who also wants a free backpack?
Just kidding, I will not steal a backpack from a kid next weekend.
It is first-come, first-served so try to arrive at 10 am or as close to it as you can. There are two Verizon-Cellular Plus locations participating in Missoula:

2506 Mount Ave.
