My Under the Big Sky 2025 Full Review: The Positives and the Negatives
There's nothing better than a long three-day weekend.
On the flip side, there's nothing worse than your first day back to work after a long 3-day weekend.
But it's all worth it when the weekend is spent at Under the Big Sky in Whitefish, Montana.
This was my second time attending UTBS, but my first time attending all three days.
What UTBS 2025 Gets Right
Tyler Childers was my most anticipated act of the weekend, and he killed it. One of many highlights included Childers' performance of Jersey Giant, a song he hasn't formally released.

Of course, we can't forget about Wynonna Judd, Mumford and Sons, the Red Clay Strays, Brothers Comatose, and all the other fantastic acts.
Both stages have impeccable views. You can't beat them.

Shoutout to the organizers for constructing a city of port-o-potties. We weren't waiting in line for bathrooms.
Another shoutout to the festival for organizing a steady stream of shuttles hauling us into Whitefish and Columbia Falls.
Where the Festival Falls Short
I will say this until the day I die: I hate music festival alcohol prices. A pair of double vodka sodas ran me $50. It's the worst, but every flipping festival charges wild prices on food and drink.

The parking is an ugly situation at the end of the night. My friend waited over an hour in the grass lot to leave. If you are driving yourself and want to wait until the end of the show, good luck getting out.
This one is a personal critique: I can't do three-day music festivals anymore. I was tired by the end of night two, so it will be a 1 or 2 day trip next year.
That last one is not UTBS' fault, so don't blame them for my low stamina.
Overall, it's a ton of fun. We had a great time sweating our heads off in the Montana summer sun, listening to great tunes, and enjoying the laid-back vibe all weekend.
