University of Montana College of Business Ranks Best in Big Sky
According to U.S. News and World Report 2020 rankings, the University of Montana College of Business ranks among the best in the nation. Director of Marketing and Communications Garrett Finke says the Big Sky Conference comprises universities in Washington, Idaho, Montana, Arizona, Colorado, Oregon, California and Utah.
“For the fourth year in a row, the University of Montana College of Business has been ranked at the top of the Big Sky Conference,” Finke said. “They look at enrollment, accreditation, teaching, the quality of faculty members and also alumni job placement after graduation.”
Finke says the UM College of Business is thriving because there are quite a few job opportunities for students right when they get their degree.
“We have over 20,000 alumni that have come through the university that are also working in global powerhouse companies,” Finke said. “They launch careers as accountants, IT consultants, marketing professionals and entrepreneurs. Typically, 82% of our students are working or attending graduate school within three months of graduation.”
According to Finke, their alumni does a great job when it comes to recruiting students for job opportunities and potential internships. UM business alumni rise to management positions with companies like Microsoft, Nike, KPMG and Boeing.
