Judging by these figures, there is no doubt University of Montana fans love to get their Griz on.

We want to congratulate UM's Director of Trademarks and Licensing Erika Palmer and her team, as the program earned record-breaking royalties in 2018-19 through innovative programming, earning a 2019 Synergy Award from the International Collegiate Licensing Association this month. The award is given annually to an exceptional campus that has demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to collegiate licensing. This is the second time UM has received this award, AND the first institution to ever receive it twice!

Some of the items that factored into record royalties were Nike merchandise to honor National College Football Hall of Fame inductee and Griz great Dave Dickenson, a partnership with Big Sky Brewing to develop Griz Montana Lager and many other licensed product sales and numerous other programs both on and off campus.

The numbers? Record-breaking royalties and a record $4 million in sales of Griz products! Erika Palmer is a 2005 grad of UM and obviously knows her Griz biz! Gotta love it. Our thanks to University of Montana University Relations for sharing the big news.
