A Fresh Start: Tres Bonne Transforms Into Cafe Mimosa
Almost a year and a half ago, Downtown Missoula was given a new French-themed restaurant in place of the old El Cazador location.
The Missoulian reported on December 28, 2023, that Tres Bonne moved into the corner of Front and Higgins near the Wilma Theater.
Now, 1 year, 3 months and 18 days later, it appears Tres Bonne has undergone a brand change.
The artist formerly known as Tres Bonne is now called Cafe Mimosa.
The change appeared to occur fairly recently, as only 6 weeks ago, on February 28, the @Tresbonnemissoula Instagram page was still active.
Tres Bonne's website has also been rebranded into Cafe Mimosa, and you can follow them on Instagram @cafemimosa.missoula.
Their latest Instagram post, from April 5, shows that Cafe Mimosa adopted new hours with the brand change.
"a freshly set table, waiting just for YOU! We HAVE UPDATED HOURS: open Wednesday - Sunday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm," said the Cafe Mimosa Instagram page.

However, the change may not be complete yet, as their voicemail still reads "Tres Bonne" after I attempted to contact the restaurant to ask about the change. The signage on the door has changed, though.
A full menu can be found on their website that features a variety of breakfast and lunch options. Breakfast, served all day, offers anything from omelets to griddle cakes to fried steak & eggs and huevos rancheros.
It seems there is a wider selection than just French-based food.
We will update the story if we can contact Cafe Mimosa.
