It's never too early to start thinking about your plans for New Year's Eve. You don't want to be frantically searching on December 30th for something, anything, to do that night after it turns out none of your friends decided to hold a party and nobody knows what's going on.

So why not just grab the gang and head to the Wilma for a night of music and fun? Logjam has enlisted local band The Lil' Smokies to play all night long for what they're calling "A Roaring '20s New Year's Eve." Bonus points if you dress in your finest Gatsby gear. Here's the info you need from the Logjam press release:

Logjam Presents is pleased to welcome The Lil' Smokies for a Roaring 20's New Years Eve performance at the The Wilma on Tuesday, December 31, 2019.

When people see The Lil Smokies setting up their acoustic instruments, they’re often unprepared for the electric energy they generate. The band captures that same dynamic presence on their last studio album, Changing Shades, delivering their exceptional songwriting and bluegrass roots with the punch of a rock band.

The first incarnation of The Lil Smokies got together in Missoula, Montana, during the winter of 2009. Through the years, the band transformed and settled into the current lineup – Scott Parker on bass; Jake Simpson on fiddle; Matt Rieger on guitar; Matt Cornette on banjo and Andy Dunnigan on dobro. Previously, the band has won the 2015 Telluride Bluegrass Band competition and took home the 2016 IBMA Momentum Band of the Year award. They’ve also wowed fans at High Sierra, Telluride Bluegrass, DelFest & FloydFest, to name a few.

Limited Logjam presale tickets will be available online only from 10a-10p this Thursday, October 10. Sign up for the presale here.
Looks like it's going to be an awesome time, and definitely a good way to spend your New Year's. Will you be checking this out?
