After public comments were considered, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife service has reaffirmed the delisting of Yellowstone Ecosystem grizzly bears from the Endangered Species Act.
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on Thursday proposed that grizzly bears in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem be removed from the federal lists of endangered and threatened wildlife.
It has been a lot warmer then normal, and that may be the reason bears will be coming out of hibernation early this year. The first one for Montana has already appeared out of hibernation earlier then expected.
I just saw that over three-quarters of a million people visited Yellowstone Park last month. That’s a lot of people. This is peak vacation time for both of our national parks.
