Elder Abuse

New research shows that Montana is one of the worst states when it comes to this sort of abuse. The study also shows it's likely to get worse with the economy.

As a state with a large number of men and women over 65, the financial website Wallet Hub says Montana comes in next to last in the entire country when it comes to protecting our elderly population from abuse.

State officials noted that in 2020 a record 4,500 Montanans were victims of elder abuse, an increase of nearly 30% since 2018.
