Black Friday is the day when major stores open early for Christmas, but the next day is Small Business Saturday, when local businesses get to shine.

Now that Black Friday and Cyber Monday have come and gone, retailers in states like Montana are doing whatever they can to survive the onslaught on online retailers like Amazon.

I have been shopping on Black Friday many times, but I just refuse to interrupt other peoples holiday so I can save a few dollars.

I went out on Thursday, hate to admit it but I was out on thanksgiving and I was outside for Black Friday in the cold with the rest of the shoppers. I was doing the music for Cabela's pre-Black Friday party so I started out at 2 am but there were customers already bearing the cold.
