Summit Beverage Moves Into Huge New Building In Missoula
Have you noticed the construction happening over on Flynn Lane these last few months? Well, it's finally finished, and now we know that the building they've constructed is home to the new headquarters for Summit Beverage, who have now fully moved in.
Summit Beverage is one of the major distributors in the region - they take beer, wine, cider, hard seltzer, and more to over 1000 retailers throughout western Montana. And with an operation that size, they obviously need a big enough space to work out of. The new, state-of-the-art headquarters is 110,000 square feet, and cost over $20 million to complete.
The building's not just a warehouse full of drinks that need to be shipped out, either. It's designed to look like a place that people may want to stop by and check out while they're driving through. The inside has even got a ton of photography and paintings by local Missoula artists.
Flynn Lane is a growing area in Missoula, and we'll likely be seeing more development happening there in the years to come. The new headquarters could serve as the centerpiece for whatever neighborhood ultimately starts to grow over there. Summit Beverage previously had a location in Missoula that was on Great Northern, but it was recently torn down so that Costco could expand - however, Costco executives returned the favor and helped them out with some of the problems that arose from building a new facility.
