Sorry Cats, SEAL That Shot Osama bin Laden Admits “We’re a Griz Family”
When the University of Montana Grizzlies face off against their rivals the MSU Bobcats this weekend at the Brawl of the Wild, they'll be cheered by Robert O'Neill, the Navy SEAL who killed Osama bin Laden.
Clip of Interview with Robert O'Neill:
"I have to tell you I'm a Griz fan," said O'Neill in response to a question about the 2014 Brawl of the Wild from Talk Back host Jon King, "I am being honest. I have nothing but love for Bozeman, but we are a Griz family."
O'Neill, who grew up in Butte, Montana, recently came forward to describe the operation in which he claims to have shot Osama bin Laden three times. He has been the center of a media firestorm, but was willing to sign up for an appearance on a local radio show in his home state.
O'Neill was also invited to watch a Griz game from the PA booth at Washington-Grizzly Stadium with announcer Peter Christian and said "I think we should definitely do it next year."
