Growing Up In The Country Or Growing Up In Town Are Totally Different Experiences
We all have our own experiences with being born and raised in the Treasure State. A bit of it depends on if you were a town kid or a country kid. To be honest, I don't know too much about being a town kid, so I enlisted the help of Only In Your State and Montana Outdoor. The gal who wrote the article from Montana Outdoor seems legit Montana raised. I'm not quite sure about the Only In Your State person, so I cherry picked them both. With me, no matter how hard I try not to do it, you're always going to get the country kid perspective.
No Montana Stereo-Types, Please
I did leave some stuff off the list because I think it's over used or stereo-typical. The older I get the more I hate a stereotype.
I think it's because of what I'm seeing in the state right now as we've become the ultra rich playground of the moment.

I feel like I'm in a cartoon sometimes when I see the shiny new cowboy boots that have never seen a second on a ranch, or the woman who CLEARLY grew up in a city showing you her new pickup she got because of, you know, flowers. And then they start talking about their Montana lifestyle, while in the same breath, complaining about the lack of (insert out of staters complaint here).
