It's that age-old question we think to ourselves daily: should retirement homes be allowed to serve alcohol?

Well, ok, maybe it's not at the forefront of all of our minds. But I bet the residents of those retirement homes have definitely thought about it once or twice.

Some of the owners, staff, and residents of Montana retirement homes are attempting to make it a real thing: they're asking the Montana State Legislature to allow their facilities to apply for liquor licenses and be allowed to serve alcohol.

So it's clearly something that the retirement communities want, but the bill is opposed by the Montana Tavern Association, who say that residents are already allowed to have alcohol in their rooms and they can bring it into their common areas, so there's no need for it.

What do you think? Should Montana allow its retirement homes to get liquor licenses if they want it?
