It was another phenomenal week for a University of Montana basketball standout who has taken his game to another level.

Our congratulations to Griz junior guard Sayeed Pridgett, who earned his second consecutive Big Sky Conference Men's Basketball Ready Nutrition Player of the Week award, after leading the team to two conference road wins last week.

Sayeed had career highs of 29 points and 16 rebounds in a monster 83-80 win at Weber State Thursday night. He made 11 of 18 baskets along with all of his free throw attempts.

In the 80-68 win over Idaho State two nights later, Sayeed made 11 of 15 shots for 22 points and added seven rebounds. He also chipped in with five assists in that game.

The Griz are firmly in the driver's seat atop the Big Sky Conference for now, but another big challenge awaits, as the MSU Bobcats come to town for a Brawl of the Wild this Saturday night. If you are planning to go, better get those tickets soon. It could be a packed house. And PLEASE do NOT forget that Monday night battle with second-place Northern Colorado!
