The countdown is on! Christmas is now less than a month away! How did that happen? Along with the frenzy to decorate, get gifts purchased, prepare for the meal, get packages in the mail, and everything else that comes with the holiday - don't forget about Santa pictures. We've already told you about Santa setting up shop at Southgate Mall for pictures until Christmas Eve. Another option for getting pictures taken with the fat man are to do them at Santa's Wonderland inside Cabela's.

There's some big changes to how pictures are being done at Cabela's this year. We can all thank COVID-19 for the introduction of "the magic Santa shield" and "Santa's sanitizations squad." But at least they gave them some fun names......that's something.

You probably guessed what the magic shield is all about. Yep, a piece of clear plastic gives jolly old St. Nick a little bit of space to take social distancing precautions.

Here's some items of note for doing pictures at Santa's Wonderland inside Cabela's this year.

FREE ONLINE RESERVATIONS
Reservations are required as spots are limited to allow social distancing.

TEMPERATURE SCREENING
Temperature screenings are required for families and team members prior to entering.

CONTACTLESS CLAUSE VISIT
The Magic Santa Shield is an acrylic barrier in place between Santa and families at all times.

SANTA'S SANITIZATION SQUAD
All surfaces are cleaned and sanitized between each visit.

FACE COVERINGS
All team members wear face coverings. Customer requirements are based on local guidelines.

PHYSICAL DISTANCING
Families standby in a designated area away from other shoppers.

One great thing about the Santa pictures at Cabela's is you get a free 4x6 studio-quality photo that they'll send to your email address. Of course, you can purchase additional photo packages to share with family and friends.

Reservations are required and Santa's Wonderland will be open for photos through Christmas Eve.
