There were two horses at Hamilton Tonight's late-store-opening evening April 13 on the third block of Main Street. The two extremes were a miniature horse, under a canopy near the live music at 3rd and Main, and the huge draft horse from "1 Horse At A Time Draft Horse Rescue," being guided around at the corner of 4th and Main.

The collection of non-profits, each with their own table or canopy, included Bitterroot Land Trust, Bitterroot Water Forum, SAFE, Ravalli County Relay for Life, Bitterroot Humane Association, Bear Co-op, Ravalli County 4-H, Hamilton Players, and more. The evening also included a short "Take Back the Night" demonstration along US 93 at the Main Street intersection.

One of the reasons for the theme of this month's "Hamilton Tonight" was a kick-off to fundraising for non-profits, highlighted by the "Montana Gives" day May 3-4, which will include a webpage of Bitterroot Valley organizations you can support with an on-line donation.
