Local Montana Podcast Highlights Movies Filmed In Big Sky Country
I love movies.
That's it. That's the article.
This year, I have watched 103 films. I've ranged from classics like The Godfather, Monty Python and The Holy Grail, and The Shining to new 2025 releases like Companion, Mickey 17, Sinners, and The Phoenician Scheme.
I'm by no means a movie critic, but I love watching movies and logging them in Letterboxd.
That's why it was amusing to see the Missoula Reddit page highlight a Montana-based film podcast.

Original Montana Film Guide, is a movie-themed show focusing on films made entirely or partially in Montana. - Original Montana Film Guide Podcast Description
I enjoy local content creators producing Montana-inspired content.
And as I previously stated, I love movies. So here's a combination I can get behind.
The Original Montana Film Guide - which, I just found out, shortens to OMFG - published an episode this week detailing the 1993 movie Red Rock West starring the internet's favorite memer Nicolas Cage, Dennis Hopper and Dwight Yoakam.
They have previous episodes on Missoula-born David Lynch, Beethoven's 2nd, The Revenant and more.
Ironically, we just asked our listeners what their favorite movies filmed in Montana were. Check out the top responses below.

I hope the OMFG crew keeps pumping out movie podcasts. I'm always looking for more content to consume.
Give it a listen and let me know your thoughts.
