
Missoula Weekend Events: Outdoor Movies And Bluegrass Floats
What's happening in Missoula on the first weekend in August (Aug. 1-3).
Note: Recurring events include the downtown farmers' markets Downtown ToNight and Summer Jazz Night, every Friday.
Bluegrass River Jam
Here's a bonus Thursday event for you: The 2nd annual Bluegrass River Jam is on Thursday, July 31st at 6 pm.
"The 100% free event starts at the East Missoula boat launch (Sha-Ron) and ends at Ogren Park," said a press release.
Spruce Alley Sally will play this year's river jam. Join them on the water.
Missoula Outdoor Cinema: A League of Their Own
Missoula Outdoor Cinema is back for a full month of films outside. This Friday, August 1, shows A League of Their Own at Headstart Park (1001 Worden Ave., Missoula, MT). The movie starts around 9:15 pm.

Missoula Paddleheads Games
The Paddleheads are home for the first time since July 20. Three games against the Glacier Range Riders.
Here are the themes for the weekend series:
- Friday, August 1: SuperHero Night w/ Fireworks (7:05 pm)
- Saturday, August 2: Taylor Swift Night (7:05 pm)
- Sunday, August 3: Kids 12 and under get in FREE (2:05 pm)
Parker McCollum at Big Sky Brewing Amphitheater
First it was Caamp, now it's Parker McCollum at Big Sky on Saturday, August 2. Doors open at 6 pm with the show kicking off at 7:30 pm.
19th Annual Peace Festival
The Annual Peace Festival takes place at the Garden of One Thousand Buddhas in Arlee, so technically not Missoula, but we're including it.
Live music, vendors, food, cultural events and live yaks "in a peaceful garden setting."
The event begins at 11 am on Sunday, August 3.

Dispatch & John Butler at Kettlehouse Amphitheater
This Sunday, August 3, Dispatch & John Butler take over Kettlehouse Amphitheater.
Doors open at 4:30 pm, and the show begins at 6 pm.
