MPD Arrest Man for Possessing Meth and Violating Probation
Just after 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday, a Missoula Police officer observed a male riding a bicycle across West Broadway Street. The bicycle did not have a front light so the officer conducted a traffic stop. Sergeant Jim Klawitter explains.
“The officer came in contact with 21-year-old Robert Earthboy who is a Missoula resident,” Klawitter said. “The officer discovered that Earthboy had a probation violation warrant for his arrest. When he was arrested, he also had some methamphetamine and paraphernalia on his person.”
During the conversation, Earthboy reached into his sweatshirt pocket and was manipulating something. The officer observed that there was a large bulge in one of Earthboy’s shorts pockets. According to court documents, the officer conducted a search and found a pipe. The officer also found a plastic bag, which contained a crystalline substance. Earthboy told the officer he had recently relapsed and the items the officer found were a methamphetamine smoking pipe and methamphetamine. Earthboy is being charged with felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs, felony probation violation and possession of drug paraphernalia.
