Montana’s Most Searched Slang Terms

I grew up saying slang terms like, "That's so sick." Or "That is dank [cool]." Sometimes I would throw in a "Oh, that SLAPS," or "Oh, that BANGS." Now, I have no idea what the young people are using as slang. The youngest people I'm around are the Montana Lady Griz players at games and I try to avoid listening to what they're saying. I don't want to feel old.

The website Unscramblerer released their latest study looking at the "Most Searched For Slang Words In Montana and America." Unscramblerer looked at Google Trends to come up with each list.

Here are the top 10 most searched slang terms in the U.S:

1. Demure
2. Sigma
3. Skibidi
4. Hawk tuah
5. Sobriquet
6. Schmaltz
7. Sen
8. Katz
9. Oeuvre
10. Preen

Oh boy, I'm older than I thought. Out of the 10 slang phrases, I had heard of only two of them and the only definition I knew was "Hawk tuah" because of that ubiquitous video of the Hawk Tuah girl telling the world about her repulsive sexual behaviors.

Skibidi is the only other word I have heard. Something to do with a skibidi toilet? Apparently it "refers to a viral internet trend featuring surreal, animated videos of singing toilets and dancing heads, popularized on platforms like TikTok for its bizarre humor."

Uhhhhh, alrighty then!
