After this weekend of watching March Madness, I am as relaxed as humanly possible. The only stressors I had were my bracket picks, and who really cares how well your bracket does? It's a total crapshoot, and more often than not, your bracket will end up in the trash can before the first weekend is over.

I hope you had a nice, enjoyable weekend, but now it’s time to look at how stressed Montanans are

Most & Least Stressed States

WalletHub released its "Most & Least Stressed States."

"WalletHub compared the 50 states across 40 key indicators of stress to help people determine where to live in order to achieve a more relaxing life. Our data set ranges from average hours worked per week to the personal bankruptcy rate to the share of adults getting adequate sleep."

Montana was ranked the 19th most stressed state.

I swear, all of these national studies place Montana in the 19-32 range. It feels like we aren't ever at the top or bottom. We're just lurking in the middle like vanilla ice cream. In fact, just a week ago, I wrote an article about the luckiest and unluckiest states in the country. Care to guess where Montana fell?

You guessed it. Montana was the 31st luckiest state in America.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's fine that we sit in the middle, especially when it comes to how stressed we are. I just think it's interesting that we live in the middle.

Anyway, here are the full rankings of stressed states:

Louisiana experienced the most stress, and South Dakota the least.

The most stress that Montanans have to endure is money-related, while work-related stress ranks lowest.

Famous Montanans A-Z

We put together an A-Z guide of Famous Montanans. People count if they were born here, raised here, live here, went to school here, or have a substantial connection to Montana. We couldn't find an 'x' entry and we had to cheat on 'z' by using a first name. If you have any other recommendations, please let us know.
