Montana Lottery Approves Sports Bets to be Offered

The Montana Lottery Commission has approved the types of bets that will be available when legal wagering on professional and collegiate sporting events begins. In addition, lottery officials said the installation of betting terminals could begin as soon as next month. Under the decision Wednesday, betting will be allowed on basketball, baseball, ice hockey, football, soccer, tennis, boxing/mixed martial arts, golf and motor sports. Officials expect to begin installing betting terminals in licensed locations during the week of March 9. Once employees at the locations are trained, the terminals will become operational.
