Knock on wood, but I don't think I've ever purchased anything that's been recalled. No food, no vehicles, no car seats... nothing.

Now I've surely jinxed myself, and I'll probably buy some plague-infested broccoli and wind up in the hospital for a dozen weeks or something.

Consumer Product Safety Commission Recalls Frying Pans

The CPSC recalled a pair of Granitestone Diamond Pro Blue Stainless Sauté Pans.

"The metal cap on the screw that connects the sauté pan to the handle can become detached and forcefully eject when heated, posing impact and burn hazards to consumers." - cpsc.gov

There have been nearly 100 incidents where the metal cap ejects from the pan, and there was even one incident "where a consumer received bruising and burn injuries."

Be careful out there. You may have a loaded gun sitting around in your kitchen, Montana.

Ok, that's a little far. Sorry, I was fear-mongering. 

The pans were sold, however, at businesses in Montana and online.

Montanans, You May Have Been Impacted

The Granitestone pans were sold at Costco stores, on Costco's website, Walmart's website, and Amazon from August 2021 through February 2026.

You're entitled to a refund if you purchased one of these pans in the last 5 years. They're worth about $40.
