Keep your fingers crossed for those wild Montana skies to be clear tonight, KYSS FM friends. If they are we may be treated to a pretty nice aurora borealis display. A strong solar flare is pushing a geomagnetic storm toward Earth, on its way to do battle with the evil Polar Vortex. No, actually it could bring some gorgeous shimmering lights to our skies around midnight Thursday into Friday. But clouds may be an issue. It does help that there isn't much moonlight (just into first quarter) and of course you want to try to get away from city lights for your best viewing chances. So here's to some breaks in the clouds and a good light show! DB
