A leading organization empowering individuals living with disabilities just got an incredible boost.

And we don't mean just a few weeks of the summer, or Mondays/Tuesdays only, or partial use of the facility. No, we mean the whole thing year-round!

Ability Montana has announced that it has received a transformational donation of Camp BullWheel, including all of its assets, from founder Frank Bell. This remarkable gift ensures that Camp BullWheel’s legacy of offering exceptional recreation opportunities will not only continue but flourish under Ability Montana’s stewardship.

Camp BullWheel, located south of Ennis on the Madison River, was established by Frank Bell as a haven for individuals living with disabilities, providing accessible recreation with a special focus on fishing and outdoor adventures. Inspired by the belief that everyone deserves access to the restorative power of outdoor activities, Mr. Bell generously built a space where adaptive equipment and personalized support allow for individuals of all abilities to enjoy Montana’s wilderness.

Mr, Bell says, "Camp BullWheel was created to show that disabilities shouldn’t prevent anyone from experiencing the joys of nature. By partnering with Ability Montana, I know this vision will grow stronger and reach even more individuals who can benefit from the peace, joy, and confidence that comes with time spent outdoors.”

From floating to fishing to lodging facilities, this place is special. Camp BullWheel provides quality fishing experiences for individuals with disabilities and their chosen companions. Wheelchair accessible rafts and state of the art adaptive fishing equipment have changed the game. Guides and dedicated volunteers are finding novel ways to use everything from single-handed fly rod rigs to self retrieving motorized reels.

Accommodations include a renovated quaint homestead along the world-famous Madison River.

Telling fish tales while roasting s’mores around a crackling campfire after a memorable day on the river—does life get any better?  If you or someone you know could benefit from this amazing gift from Frank Bell, visit the Camp BullWheel website.
