A friend of mine from here in Missoula, Adrienne Dussault created a company a few months back and it just continues to pick up steam. Her business is Montana Bark Vases.

These are natural Montana bark pieces which are harvested from non-living trees which have fallen in the forest. All bark portions are whole - there are no seams. Glass containers which hold water are glued into the bark tube with industrial strength adhesive.

There are many sizes from which to choose - from bud vases to large items suitable for outdoors year-round (yes, even in snow and rain)! Each vase is unique - no two are alike.

These are about as Missoula as you can get, and as you can see in the picture above they look beautiful. My favorite part of her company is that I get to see another hard working Missoulian create a business doing something that she loves.
