The staff at The Old Post are serving their final drinks Thursday night, October 31st, as it has been revealed on their Facebook page that they are closing, to the surprise of many regulars and loyal customers. The Old Post is at 103 Spruce Street, next to Worden's Market.

What some may not realize is that The Old Post is actually a non-profit that has been a downtown staple for more than 20 years. It is American Legion Post 101 that served breakfast, lunch, dinner and some very affordable drinks. It sounds like they will be closing the doors for good at 9 p.m. No word yet on exactly why they are closing or if there are plans for a new tenant to move in to the prime downtown location.
