28 year-old Riley Lewis was arrested on Tuesday evening and charged with felony criminal endangerment after allegedly dragging a man with her vehicle.

Missoula Police spokesman Travis Welsh described what happened.

“Witnesses reported seeing a male and female arguing and at one point the male attempted to get into a car after the female requested he get in and talk,” Welsh began. “Just as the male was getting in the vehicle, the female suddenly accelerated, dragging the man who was holding on to the door frame.”

Welsh explained what happened next.

“She did eventually stop and 9-1-1 was called,” he said. “Police responded and arrested 28 year-old Riley Christine Lewis or Stevensville. She is in the Missoula County Jail and is being held on a count of criminal endangerment.”

She was being held on $50,000 bond. There was no report of a serious injury to the victim.
