We're not quite back to normal when it comes to events - but the last few weeks have brought concert announcements and more additions to the summer calendar. And it seems like we're just getting started when it comes to activities and events popping up. We should have plenty more announcements over the next few weeks.

Looking for some entertainment over the next couple of days? Here's a list of a few things that are happening around town this weekend?

UM SPRING RODEO - FRIDAY (4/30) & SATURDAY (5/1)
Performances start at 7:00 PM both evenings at the Missoula Fairgrounds.  The University of Montana rodeo team and seven other teams in the Big Sky Conference promise to put on a great show with lots of fired up bucking stock, calves, steers, bulls, goats, barrels and rodeo athletes to keep you entertained. BOTH NIGHTS OF THE RODEO ARE SOLD OUT but you can still purchase slack tickets for the Saturday morning event HERE.

UM SPRING COMMENCEMENT CEREMONIES - SATURDAY (5/1)
Two outdoor, in-person, socially distanced Spring 2021 commencements will be held Saturday, May 1st at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Washington-Grizzly Stadium. CONGRATS GRADS!!

We don't mention this so much as a weekend destination - but more of a reminder to avoid the area if you don't want to get caught up in any possible traffic issues.

RETURN OF THE MISSOULA MARKETS - SATURDAY (5/1)
Saturday marks the return of market season in Missoula and they'll be allowed to serve hot food and prepared food this year. Fresh produce, local crafts, and more.

Missoula Farmers Market
North end of Higgins Ave. (near XXXX's)
8 AM to 9 AM for high-risk customers
Ends at 12:30 PM

Clark Fork River Market
Temporary location: Caras Park - next to Carousel
8 AM to 1 PM

INTERNATIONAL WILDLIFE FILM FESTIVAL - THROUGH MAY 15
This year's International Wildlife Film Festival is a hybrid version featuring virtual and outdoor screenings.

"The International Wildlife Film Festival returns for its 44th year with the theme, “Rising from the Depths.” IWFF runs April 17 - May 15, showcasing a catalog of 65 films, most of which are available to an international audience. New films are added to the virtual catalog every week of the festival and online discussions, offering viewers access to intimate conversations with filmmakers following select screenings."

BIKE AMONG THE BLOOMS: UM CAMPUS ARBORETUM SELF GUIDED TOUR
The website says: Bike Among the Blooms on the University of Montana campus while exploring the State of Montana Arboretum. The University of Montana Campus is free of traffic and full of beautiful trees. Go for a ride with your loved ones and celebrate spring! Take your Mom on a bicycle ride for Mother's Day! Pay parking is available at Van Buren/Campus drive parking lot or you can ride over to campus on your bicycles using the lovely riverfront trail.

ACTIVITY GRAB BAGS FOR KIDS @ MISSOULA PUBLIC LIBRARY - SATURDAY (5/1)
According to the event description: Stop by Missoula Public Library at 455 E. Main Street all month long to pick up a grab bag of activities presented by spectrUM Discovery Area, Families First Learning Lab, and the Missoula Public Library Children's Department. The bag will have four different activities that promote STEM learning, emotional development, and early literacy. We will hand out grab bags during our Curbside Services, Monday-Saturday from 3-6 PM. The activities stay the same throughout the month.
