Missoula Police Search for Missing Havre Girl [AUDIO]
Missoula police are searching for a missing girl from Havre, Dawna Keeley, 16.
Public Information Officer Travis Welsh said the teenager was a reported runaway in Havre.
"She was initially located here in Missoula and her parents were contacted in Havre," Welsh said. "Her mother was unwilling to have her transported back home, but she did ask that the girl be checked out for a mental evaluation at a hospital, as she had expressed a desire to hurt herself. She also has a history of being suicidal. She was transported to St. Patrick Hospital, where she was released after an evaluation. The mother then called back and filed a runaway report, so we're just checking on Dawna to see if she's OK."
Welsh provided a description of the missing girl.
"She is about five feet two inches tall and weighs about 120 pounds," Welsh said. "She has hazel eyes, brown hair with a red streak, light colored skin with a tattoo on her abdomen. She also has scars on her arms from previous suicide attempts. She was last seen wearing a pink one-piece pair of pajamas with a gray fox racing hoodie."
Anyone with information about Dawna Keeley is asked to call the Missoula Police Department at 552-6300, so that she can be directed to the help she needs.
