At around 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, Missoula Police Department officers were called to the report of a disturbance in the 1100 block of West Broadway. Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh explains.

“While they were on the scene investigating that particular incident, an officer noticed a male sitting nearby that matched the description provided in a case of attempted burglary reported on October 1st,” Welsh said. “The officers identified the male and looked further into the case. They developed probable cause to place him under arrest. He is identified as 22-year-old Gavin Crandall. During the course of the arrest, the officers also found that he was in possession of illegal drugs.”

According to Welsh, officers later identified the drug as methadone. Mr. Crandall is currently being held for felony burglary, felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs, and criminal mischief.
