My anger and frustration have been simmering for the past two days since I attended a showing of Deadpool And Wolverine. My anger isn't directed at the movie, though I didn't think it was the best movie but that's a story for a different day. No, my animosity is directed at one moviegoer in particular who shared the theater that night.

I'm getting so mad reliving this experience that I'm pretty sure I just gave myself an ulcer.

A parent brought their baby to the movie theater, and SPOILER ALERT, the baby cried and cooed and cried and cooed through the final 30 minutes of the movie. I mean, what are we doing here? Babies don't belong in a movie theater, especially one showing an R-rated movie. When have crying babies ever been acceptable at the cinema?

The cherry on top was that the parent didn't leave the theater once to calm him/her down. How unbelievably selfish can someone be? No one in that theater should tolerate someone else's kid crying inside a theater... A THEATER... you know that place where they tell you to turn off your phone and shut up for the next two hours?

Stand-up comedian Tom Segura said it best:

"We're not going to agree on everything, ok? But we should agree on this: If you bring a baby into a movie theater you're a piece of s***."

PREACH TOM! I don't have kids, so I don't get parenthood at all, but I truly in my heart of hearts think it is so unbelievably, absolutely, positively rude to bring a baby to the theater. We're not talking about bringing a little kid to a showing of Inside Out 2. If it's a kid's movie, knock yourself out with all the little crazies. No, I'm talking about bringing a baby, someone who is not going to comprehend a single thing going on in the movie, to a non-children's movie theater trying to ruin someone else's time.

Oh, you can't find a babysitter? Tell them, Tom.

"Well, then you don't get to go to the movies. That's how that works."

THANK YOU TOM.

Ok, my rant is over. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
