Missoula Man is Arrested for Possessing Meth and Violating Probation
At around 2:30 a.m. on Monday, a Missoula Police Department officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 1300 block of West Broadway. Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh explains.
“The vehicle was not displaying license plates,” Welsh said. “The officer identified three people in the car, including the passenger in the rear seat. The rear seat passenger was 20-year-old Eric Pimentel and he was on probation.”
According to Welsh, officers continued their investigation.
“The officers made observations of what appeared to be drug related material near Mr. Pimentel’s position in the car,” Welsh said. “He was arrested for probation violation and was subsequently charged with possession of drugs, which turned out to be methamphetamine.”
Pimentel is being held for felony probation violation, felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
