Missoula Ranks High on List of Best US Cities For Singles
Looking for love in all the wrong places? Try moving to Missoula.
WalletHub recently crunched the numbers to discover the best and worst cities in the United States to be in if you're single. They took a look at three factors: economics (how much an average date costs, housing costs, etc.), fun & recreation (number of attractions, walkability, restaurants per capita, etc.), and dating opportunities (meaning how many single people there actually are in each city).
So Where Did Missoula Rank On This List?
Missoula ended up ranking pretty highly when all was said and done - it ranked number 15 out of 182 cities! (We were also among the cities that had the lowest beer and wine prices, so tack on another win for us right there.)
Missoula took the number three spot in the "Dating Opportunities" category, which means there are a lot of single people in this town. Here's something a little bit on the surprising side, though: we were all the way down at number 145 for "Fun & Recreation." That seems like an oversight! There's a ton of fun things to do in Missoula! We gotta bump that number up so we can get into the top ten!
Number one on the list was Madison, Wisconsin; it was followed by Seattle, Washington and Portland Oregon.
And the worst city for singles in the entire country? If you're desperate for a relationship, stay away from Glendale, California, apparently.
If you're single, do you agree that Missoula's a great environment for singles to thrive in?
