Best Airlines for Missoula Travelers in 2025

As a frequent traveler, I have my list of favorite airlines, or at least positives about each airline. Delta is my top pick—when someone else is footing the bill. If you take away the price, Delta is the best. Their planes are clean, their choices of movies are solid, and there's something about the illumination above the aisles. I don't know, there's something comforting about Delta overall.

By the way, don't tell me about all your complaints with Delta or any airline. We've all had bad experiences with airlines, and let's be honest, even Delta doesn't care about its customers. All airlines are expensive to fly; there will always be delays and cancellations, so please keep your complaints to yourself. Or at least keep them off social media, ok?

USA Today's 10Best Airlines

USA Today's 10Best series is looking at the best airlines in the world. The list includes several international airlines and some domestic carriers not based in Montana, but several of these fly into Missoula. Here are the Missoula-based airlines featured on the voting list.

Alaska Airlines
American Airlines
Delta Air Lines
United Airlines

There are a few others that didn't make the list, like Frontier, but you wouldn't expect some of the cheaper airlines to compete worldwide.
