The Public Works Department wants to remind drivers to travel safely and give the workers their space.
"For the safety of workers and the community, please drive slowly and use caution near the construction zone."
Why Is 6th Street Closing?
"This closure is part of the Woodford Water Main Replacement Project to install approx. 2,000 feet of 8-inch ductile iron pipe to replace aging water main infrastructure from the 1940s, which will reduce leaks, improve system
efficiency, and save energy."
