Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton — What’s Really Going On With Them?
Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton are arguably two of the most popular artists in country music right now. The two of them have been married since May 2011, and although their work schedules probably don't give them as much time to spend together as most newlyweds would like, we have noticed that these two stars are still managing to live parallel lives. In fact, it is starting to get a little weird and make us wonder if they have figured out some way to live separate, but also "nearly" identical lives. Whether it be winning awards on the same night (like at last night's ACM Awards), or losing loved ones at similar times, things are looking a little odd. Read on and see what we mean.
Exhibit A
At last night's ACM Awards Miranda Lambert won the award for Female Vocalist of the Year... and then Blake Shelton won the award for Male Vocalist of the Year. (Blake hosted the event and both performed separately at it.)
Exhibit B
In fact, the couple even had the same number of nominations for the 2012 Academy of Country Music Award with two apiece.
Exhibit C
When you lose a family member or other loved one it is always nice to have someone by your side who understands what you're going through. However, this concept was taken to a whole new level when Blake lost his father and a little more than a week later Miranda's long-time friend died... and then one week later her dog died.
Exhibit D
Shortly following the string of unfortunate losses, Miranda and Blake sang "America the Beautiful" at the Super Bowl.
Exhibit E
"House That Built Me" was originally supposed to be for Blake, but he turned it down when he saw how much the song resonated with Miranda.
Exhibit F
Miranda has been joining Blake on his TV show 'The Voice" this season.
Exhibit G
Blake put Miranda in his video for his new song "God Gave me You." She is shown talking to the camera favorably about Blake prior to their wedding.
Exhibit H
When Miranda performed in October in Missoula she brought Justin Moore with her. Blake also had Justin Moore on his bill when he played shows in Bozeman and Billings last month.
Exhibit I
Miranda put forth an unforgettably nice gesture with her new song "Over You," which is about Blake dealing with the death of his brother Richie, who was killed in a car accident at age 14.
