MCPS Employee Was Caught With Meth During Warrant Search for Probation Absconder

A former Missoula County Public School employee is expected to be in court soon on a charge of felony drug possession with intent to distribute. The suspect, recently identified as Mary Dibble, formerly served as a social worker at Meadow Hill Middle School on Missoula’s south side, but resigned in the wake of her arrest. Missoula Chief Deputy County Attorney Jason Marks explains the charges.

“Mary Dibble has been charged by our office with possession of methamphetamine, heroine, and psilocybin mushrooms.” Marks said. “The possession was intent to distribute charge is based off the packaging. The drugs were packaged in smaller individual packages, which suggests a person intended them for distribution."

MCPS has issued statements that it does not believe that Dibble distributed drugs on campus, drug testing of Dibble’s office is underway. A man by the name of Jeffery Allen King, is the reason found Dibble in the first place.

“They were found during a search of the residence by law enforcement personnel actually looking for her boyfriend, who was also charged.” Marks said. “She has had her initial appearance in justice court. The case has been filed into district court and we are waiting for the court to issue an order setting her arraignment date, but I would expect that in the next week or two.”

Police arrested Dibble and King while following up on a warrant for King because he had absconded probation. In 2015, King was in court accused of beating his girlfriend and leaving “softball-sized welts” on her skull. He has also been convicted of partner assault charges twice before in 2012.
