Man Resists Arrest, is Found to be in Possession of Meth and Outstanding Warrants
At around 11:45 Friday night, a Missoula police officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Brooks and 39th Street. Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh explains.
“During the course of the investigation, he attempted to identify a passenger who was later determined to be 34-year-old Jonathan Westerfield. Westerfield initially provided fictitious identification information and resisted arrest when the officers attempted to take him into custody. He was subsequently found to be in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine.”
Westerfield was transported to the Missoula County Jail where he is currently being held for his outstanding warrants, resisting arrest, and criminal possession of dangerous drugs.
