Trash Talk: Western Montana Business Donates To Area Schools
Schools everywhere are always looking for ways to raise funds for important educational programs.
A new program has been launched designed to help turn trash day into pay day for a public school near Missoula.
Grizzly Disposal of Missoula and Frenchtown Public Schools have begun a new partnership. Through this program, residents can sign up for special Grizzly Disposal carts featuring Frenchtown Broncs school colors and logos. For each cart, Grizzly Disposal donates $5 monthly ($60 annually) to Frenchtown Public Schools.
The first carts have already been delivered to the schools, where school administration hopes supporters will see it as a simple, visible way for the community to invest in their kids. Through this program, Frenchtown area residents can sign up to receive a custom Grizzly Disposal trash. The more cart subscriptions, the more funding the public schools will receive.
The Frenchtown Schools Partner Program builds on Grizzly Disposal’s successful partnerships with local organizations like Chicks n Chaps, Missoula Catholic Schools and Grizzly Athletics and the Grizzly Scholarship Association. These programs have already raised more than $50,000 for their causes since the program was launched in 2022.
In the press release, Grizzly Disposal General Manager Billy Fisher was quoted as saying, “This program is about giving the community a simple, visible way to support their schools. Every time a Frenchtown resident rolls their cart to the curb, they’re helping local students.”
Organizations interested in starting their own Partner Program can contact Grizzly Disposal to learn how to turn curbside carts into powerful community support tools.
