TMHT: Our ‘Lukey” Day With Humane Society of Western Montana
With many more dogs arriving, choices (and fees) are just too tempting to pass up right now!
It was another Take Me Home Tuesday at the radio stations with the Humane Society of Western Montana, sponsored by our friends at Paul's Pancake Parlor in Missoula. Janet introduced us to Luke, an adorable 5-month-old puppy that is full of spunk and affection. It's hard to get a read on Luke, but Janet thinks there might be a little boxer in there among other breeds. He was very treat motivated and even "talked" on the radio a little bit during our visit.
Luke was a transfer dog, as the shelter in Havre was getting quite full. Janet says they are also expecting a number of dogs being transferred very very soon from shelters in southern California as the result of the heartbreaking wildfire situation.
BIG SPECIAL OFFER THIS WEEK!
To help manage the influx of dogs seeking new forever homes, the Humane Society of Western Montana is offering half-price adoptions this week only. They are open Wednesdays through Sundays 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Adopt early and often if you can!
LAST CALL FOR PACK THE HOUSE!
This was the last Tuesday we had to visit with Janet before their huge fundraiser concert at the Wilma Theater Friday night, January 31. "Pack the House" features incredible music from the Joan Zen Band, Mudslide Charley and the Rob Quist Trio, which includes Rob's daughter Halladay. It's an awesome night of fun to honor your pets, the pets still waiting for a new home and all of the pets and people throughout Montana who rely on the Humane Society.
Tickets are $60 each. Tickets and more information about the event are available from Logjam Presents via this page of the Humane Society's website.
