Let’s Go! Montana Grizzly Alex Gubner Signs With An NFL Team
If you're a Montana Grizzly football fan then you know the impact defensive tackle Alex Gubner made for the Griz defenders last year.
He's a tackle who doesn't record many stats, due to his position, but his resume was still strong enough to win the Big Sky Conference Defensive Player Of The Year Award last season. In case you need a refresher, here's a great piece on Gubner done by Montana Sports last year showing his work ethic and team-first mentality.
Last spring, Gubner didn't accept an NFL Minicamp invitation immediately. There were reports he was weighing options between numerous invites, but he finally settled on a couple of teams in the AFC West.

It's now reported that Alex Gubner has signed with the defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs. Sam McDowell, a sports columnist with the Kansas City Star, tweeted it late Thursday morning.
There has been no confirmation from Gubner of the University of Montana's social media pages.
Let's go. We are ecstatic for Gubby. I'm not so ecstatic for previous NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes or other quarterbacks Ian Book, Carson Wentz and Chris Oladokun who have to deal with Gubner chasing him around this summer.
I know some Denver Broncos and Griz fans are reading this going "are you kidding me? Our Montana guy had to sign with the Chiefs?"
But the bottom line is we're pulling your you, Alex. We hope to see you on the week 1 roster fighting alongside Chris Jones.
