Kansas City Captures Katie a Corgi

The Kansas City Royals Major League Baseball team is on a roll. And one fan will need rolls of newspapers. When KC won their American League wild card game over Oakland 10 days ago, one of their fans, Katie Castan, was in the stands holding up a sign that read, "If we win, he's buying me a puppy." Katie was referring to her boyfriend, Joe Onofrio. Well, the Royals did their part, and Joe did his---pretty much. While not a puppy, Joe adopted Lucy, a 4-year-old corgi. He made a great choice. Katie is crazy about Lucy and vice versa. And the Royals are still winning, sweeping the Angels to move onto the American League championship series against Baltimore.

Wonder what Katie will ask for if they win the World Series!  DB
