Jelly Roll Talks to This Country Artist as Much as He Does His Wife, Bunnie Xo

With his explosion onto the music scene, there probably isn't a phone as hot as Jelly Roll's right now. In a recent interview, Jelly Roll shared with Taste of Country Nights that he talks to one country artist on the phone just as much as he does his wife, Bunnie Xo.

That country artist is Brantley Gilbert.

Gilbert was a guest on Taste of Country Nights when I asked him if Jelly Roll is the real deal, and he was very matter-of-fact with his answer about Jelly Roll.

"There are people that say they are that kind of individual, a lot," Gilbert says. "There are a lot of people that wanna be that. Almost everybody in our business is kinda obsessed with being real and authentic. It don't get more real and authentic than that, bubba."

Once that conversation was played for Jelly Roll, the "Save Me" singer had a reply: "God, I love that guy, man. I've been so blessed to have him as a friend, dude."

Jelly Roll continued gushing about Gilbert, saying, "You could not have told me three years ago that Brantley Gilbert would probably be in the top 10 most spoke to people in my phone, in any part of my life."

Jelly Roll then revealed just how much he speaks to Gilbert.

"I think I've talked to Brantley more hours on the phone than anybody but my wife this year. I mean, that's my buddy, man. That dude is one of the best dudes in the business."
