Wanted Man Caught With Fentanyl in a Missoula Parking Lot

Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On April 6, 2024, Missoula Police Department Officers responded to a welfare check for a vehicle occupant who had “nodded out” in the Albertson’s parking lot on Russell St. Several other calls were made with the same request, stating a middle-aged Native American female was slumped over the wheel and drooling in the driver’s seat of a vehicle.  

Upon arrival, an officer contacted the female. She denied needing medical attention and stated she had just been at the methadone clinic with her husband, later identified as 32-year-old William Sirucek. She said they had both been given their doses a little over an hour before and she had driven them to Albertsons, where she had gone into the store and Sirucek remained in the car. 

During this time, another officer arrived and observed drug paraphernalia in plain view. He observed a small piece of tinfoil on the center console which had black burnt lines on it. According to court documents, he recognized the tinfoil, based on his training and experience to be that commonly used to smoke fentanyl pills.  

Around this time, Sirucek came out of the store and identified himself. Sirucek was placed under arrest for an outstanding Municipal Court warrant and during a search incident to arrest, an officer located a plastic bag in Sirucek’s pocket, which contained a single blue M30 fentanyl pill.  

Prior to being handcuffed, upon inquiry, Sirucek admitted to smoking fentanyl and stated the foil in the center console and any drug paraphernalia in the car was his and not his wife’s. Sirucek's wife consented to a search of the vehicle, where the tinfoil from the center console was recovered.

Sirucek is currently being charged with felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.
