Montana Probationer Gets Caught With Meth and More
Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On February 4, 2024, a Missoula County Sheriff’s Office Deputy responded to mile marker 8 on Highway 93 N. at the request of Tribal Police. Upon arrival, Tribal Police showed the deputy a meth pipe and another smoking device that they located in possession of 44-year-old Jody Jewell.
According to court documents, Jewell is on probation and his probation officer requested that he be arrested for a probation violation. The deputy transported Jewell to the Missoula County Detention Facility.
During an inventory search, detention staff discovered a small bag containing a crystalline substance in Jewell’s property. Jewell admitted it was methamphetamine. The ACE ID scanner also confirmed the substance was methamphetamine.
Jewell is currently being charged with felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia. On February 5, 2024, Jewell made his initial appearance in Missoula Justice Court and his bond was set at $10,000.
