Halloween has always been a special time for me, and I know I am not alone. After all, it is a multi-billion-dollar business. According to the National Retail Federation, Americans are expected to spend over $13 billion this year, with $3.9 billion spent on candy alone.

There is someone in Missoula who is such a huge Halloween fan that she has entered a contest to be known as the Face of Halloween, and she needs your help to make this happen.

Who Is Competing to Be the Face of Halloween?

Alexis Nierodzinski has been making her way through rounds of competition with the hope of winning and being able to meet actors Jamie Lee Curtis and Matthew Lillard, and a cash prize of $13,000.

How the Halloween Contest Works

I spoke with Nierodzinski about the contest. Here’s how it works. Once every 24 hours, you can vote for Alexis for free. If you would like more votes to go towards her victory, you can donate money to the Starlight Children’s Foundation.

Originally, Nierodzinski thought the contest was too good to be true, but it’s a legitimate contest, and so far, she has been successful getting past a few rounds, but there is a long way to go to win.

Nierodzinski is a big fan of Halloween and prefers scary costumes over silly ones. Her favorite Halloween movies are the Scream franchise, and she already has her costumes set for this year. Yes–costumes, plural. With Halloween falling on a Friday this year, she intends to get three days of fun and have a different costume for each day. I am lucky if I can figure out one costume, yet alone three.

One of her costumes from the past was a Zombie Griz Cheerleader. I asked her about that, and here is what she said:

That was, holy moly, a long time ago, but I am a lifelong Montana girl and lifelong Halloween fan.

Please take a minute or two and vote for Alexis Nierodzinski to become the Face of Halloween here. If you like help out the Starlight Children’s Foundation that's an added bonus. We wish Alexis luck in the contest.
